fractalet was born out of a personal emergency requiring immediate stress reduction. To accomplish this, I decided to watch electric sheep, digital fractal videos created by Scott Draves, and utilized meditation phrases to bring my blood pressure down. After successfully doing this, I rewarded myself with a motivational phrase and voila...I felt great. Unknowingly, I had stumbled upon fractal therapy, the usage of fractals which are repetitive shapes that occur in nature which have a relaxing effect on people, i.e., clouds, waves, sea anemones. These can be recreated artistically or digitally. According to researchers, viewing fractals for 60 seconds can reduce stress by 60%.
